Re: pattern sequence length
I only recently bought Juno DS, but if we for square beats it looks like 64 is max. If you play to eg 90 BPM, the pattern lasts for around 1:30. Thats really right enough + you have 8 pads/slots.
Re: pattern sequence length
Tx... that sounds very good.
Another question:
If one pattern is playing and another is selected will
they join seamless or will the new pattern start at once?

Re: pattern sequence length
From default, it is seamless. So combining is possible, making it extra long.
Re: pattern sequence length
Ok tx again - that's good news - i think will buy a ds.
Re: pattern sequence length
to be precise - you can move from one pattern to another seamingly, however you cannot automaticaly connect two or more patterns so that they will be changing in loop, you have to switch them automatically. If the patterns are long you will have enough time to do it live.

Hello again...
The manual says
' You can create a pattern of up to eight measures.'
What does measure mean here?
Is i 4/4 * 8 or what?
How long (in time) can one measure be?
Greetings Hakan Venderlof

Re: pattern sequence length
Exactly - the phrase pad got 1,2,4,8 measures - so eg. 4/4 * 8. But you can switch to 4/2 * 8 and you make the sequence twice as long ;) (4/2 * 8 = 4/4 * 16)zdubair wrote:Hello again...

Re: pattern sequence length
I figure out. If you sett Beat to 32/4, you can record real time playing for about 4 minute. (if you sett measure leght to 8)
no where in manual or roland support, or no one, tells this.

Roland staff would dive into ther old Products and develope. its so expensive to bye new gear. i would pay for a expansion box to Roland fantom g8 and update.
now i hope Roland produce a [butique-style expander box] to juno ds 88, it would be a best seller with improved gear to connect into midi in midi out, usb stick input,

Re: pattern sequence length
Hi, thank you for making this thread. I just wanted to check whether anyone has actually been able to record for up to 2 mins on the pattern sequencer.
I am torn between buying the DS and the Korg Kross 2 which has an easy to use Audio record feature to SD Card. Ideally I would like to be able to practice piano pieces I'm learning and play along. Such as record the left hand parts on one track and play this back on the sequencer while I perform the right hand melody. I should not need to record more than a couple of mins. Is this possible?
Any help would be greatly appreciated before I order one. I've asked in local music stores but nobody can confirm so I wanted feedback from someone whom has already tested out.
