How to save Dual Layer as a favourite?

I'm new to the Juno DS and I've figured out most of the basic commands, but I'm struggling when I try to save a dual layer I've set up as a favourite. I've looked for a help file or tutorial, and I have found one, but it's far too simplified and doesn't explain why you can't simply save a dual layer configuration to a fav. Any help available?
