I have dive into key action settings. is this best för pianist?
1 press [MENY]
2 Press [>] to get to SYSTEM, press [ENTER]

now your in
__/KEY TOUCH\___
velo Curve HEAVY
curve offset 0
velocity REAL

i figure out that keyaction responce to trigger new tone, already trigg when keys are half way up. this is really great. JUNO DS 88 have Ivory feel G, with escapement
but when i play fast, the resonce feel slow! maybe i am a in begginers problem ?
In Roland RD-300GX , keybed PHA alpha. the key only trigger from full way up. but the responce feel faster, why?

....................................................................................................................
i like to simulate a real piano so, HEAVY
This sets the keyboard to a heavy touch. You have to play the keyboard more
forcefully than MEDIUM setting in order to play fortissimo (ff ), so the keyboard
touch feels heavier. This setting allows you to add more expression when
playing dynamically
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I like the volocity setting REAL. (1=volume is low, nothing is heard. 127=volume high, like a guntrigger)
Specifies the velocity transmitted when a key is played.
REAL The transmitted velocity value will correspond to the force
with which you strike the key.
1–127 The transmitted velocity value will be fixed, regardless of
the force with which you strike the key.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
with abowe settings , why cant I hear any diffrence in:
Curve Offset
Adjusts the Velo Curve.
Lower values make the keyboard feel lighter.
Higher values make the keyboard feel heavier.
-10–+9
so i let it be in 0.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
this is in page 7 and 16 in owner manual.
please , give a reply what You think about Juno DS 88 keyaction and settings!

"The EXP-09 Complete Piano Collection contains 88-note multi-sampled acoustic piano sounds with 4-stage velocity switching for clear articulation and dynamic response. 42 Tones and 40 Waveforms are included."

http://axial.roland.com/articles/exp-09 ... ection-ds/

I have to disagree with your assertion that the RD300 is faster in the rebound. I own the DS88 but I happened to be in a music store with both the DS88 and the Rd300 the other day, and I had read this post so I figured I would try it out and AB them. The RD300 seemed to be a little slower than the Juno. So that's ny 2 cents :-)
