Newbie here - How do I save a split to a favorite button?

Post by big jilm »

Hi, all -

I'm new to keyboards in general, and I am having a lot of fun playing my new Juno DS61. By band does a lot of Pink Floyd stuff, and I am the singer and second guitar player... that now has duty on keys for some of the stuff.

I have figured out how to save sounds I like to the favorites bank, but I can't figure out how to save a split sound (in this case, a B3 sound to the lower and a electric piano to the upper) to one of the favorite buttons. When I try, it tells me to write the program first... I am following along, but I can't figure out what to do. I don't want to accidentally overwrite anything, and I am a doofus with this stuff.

Can anybody walk me through how to do this without screwing something up?

Sure -

Got the split made that I wanted.
Hit 'Write'
Enter
Choose Performance Write
Enter
Name the sound
Enter
Select Write Destination (choose open slot)
Enter
Are You Sure? Scroll to yes
Enter

Patch is now saved. Now you can add it to a favorites button.
