I am seriously looking at purchasing the DS61 and am 97% sure I just have a couple questions.
Is it easy to save modified presets and make them permanent?
How easy is it to change sounds on the fly as you are performing. Can I preset
different sounds in different banks and easily flip back and forth?
How good are the piano sounds?
Thanks in advance for the info.

Yes, very easy.

You have favourites in banks of ten sound each. So it's quite easy inside the favourite bank. When you look for a sound in another bank, you must change bank and then sound. It works, but takes some time.

A lot depends on your taste. I would say they're tipically Roland. There are the usual Fantom-X sounds + some more refreshed samples that I would rate a little better. Not bad at all. If you play piano and voice, well, there are better (and more expensive) options, but if you play in a band they're very good.
