DS-88: 16 part mode

I was about to ask this question but I found the answer so I'll just post it in case it helps someone else!
The manual explains 16-part mode this way:
"Within Performance mode, the state in which neither split, dual, nor super layer is
selected is called “16-part mode.” "
So it's the default mode.
To access parts 9-16, hold down SHIFT and hit a pad.
