Assign a sound effect to a certain key

Hello,

New to the board and keyboards in general. Have a DS-61. How do I go about putting one of the sounds from the sound effects (like a hand clap) on whatever key I would like to play it on. I have several performances with multiple splits and would like to have the sound effects I need on the 1st or last key on the keyboard.

Or....how can I assign a sound effect to the 8 tap pads? That would work too.

I can't see in the instruction manual a way to do it....but the book is pretty sparse.

thanks!

This thread might be useful:

You can split the keyboard and assign the clap patch (sounds like a transdermal STD treatment) to whatever key range you want.

Also I assume you have the Parameter Guide which goes into real detail unlike the simplistic manual?

Aha, thanks....I didn't know about the Parameter Guide.
