Hold Pedal in Split Mode

Post by jmharn »

Does anyone know how to turn off the hold pedal on the lower part of the split mode?

If you press the hold pedal, and the lower section as bass, and the upper section as piano, both sounds are in the hold mode, and the bass sounds terrible.

Other keyboards that I have, the bass patch or the lower section does not have the sustain, even when the piano sound on the upper section is sustained.

Currently this is the most annoying thing that I found about this otherwise excellent keyboard.

Experts, your input is greatly appreciated.

This can easily be done:
Setup your split
Press Menu
Edit
Performance Edit
Switch far right to the Midi Tab
Untick HD for the Lower Part
Save
Done

That is such an awesome advise. It works! Thanks Heiko!

Now does this work for all lower section split, or just the specific combo that I currently use?

to my understanding this is not a Global Setting but a special Midi setting for that special Performance (Yes a split is already a Performance - the Patch/Perform button will be lit) you name and save as a User Performance. If you want to create another Split with different Patches you have to do the same procedure but I would recommend to save some different ones and store them to the Favourites buttons to easily recall them...
