Combining waveforms from internal memory and exp boards.

Hello,
I am interested in buying Roland DS but I've read somewhere today that it is not possible to mix sounds from the keyboard's internal memory with sounds from the expansion boards (one downloads from the Axial site) nor it is possible to create a single patch by combining the internal waveforms with those from the expansion boards.
Is this true? And if so, does the FA line have the same limitation?
Thank you

I'm not certain, but this doesn't sound right to me. Using the Multi function, you can layer 2 patches. It shouldn't matter if patch 1 is a stock sound, or a loaded Axial one. Once it's on the DS, it's fair game. You can layer even more using 16 part mode.

Agree with you Aaron, it must be possible.

It's possible to mix any waveform (including EXP and user multisamples) with any other waveform in a patch or performance.

...but remember that EXP waveforms will not be available except when that particular EXP is loaded (and you can only have one loaded at a time).
