Nice piano sound! My PFS01 is "GrandPnoDS"... I assume that you have some kind of expansion installed (I my self have the Keyboards expansion). Anyway, I just saved it as "BigPiano" :)

Thanks!

This is a performance I called "PianoDS + EP". It has the DS piano on part1 and the 80's FM EP in part 2 but with level set to zero. This way, you can go from piano sound to EP sound by using the faders in realtime :)

Part1: DS001 GrandPnoDS (Level 127, Reverb 100)
Part2: DS008: 80'S FM (Level 0)
Part3: PRS0968: Soft OB Pad (Level 75, Reverb 90, Range: C0-B4, MIDI Hold: NO)
Part4: DS0080: GX Strings (Level 25, MIDI Hold: NO)

When you increase the reverb, so you do it on the global keyboard control or do you do it individually with each patch? I haven't used the reverb much. I don't think about it.
Thanks Vespina. I will try yours this afternoon. The first patch is not the DS patch but PF 01. Sorry. Thanks for looking at it.
Here is a more elaborate effort. I don't care for the orchestra sounds very much. I play background music for a senior center in a moderately large room. I do soundtracks, movie themes, etc. This layered patch works well for Punchy Orchestrations - Magnificent 7, Anything Goes, etc.

Punchy Orchestra, Velocity light
Part 1 Breakout Brass Br2 Vol50 Keyboard >C4
Part 2 Brass Part Out Br 11 Vol 60 Keyboard >C4
Part 3 Juno Bari Sax Br 68 Vol25 Keyboard >C4
Part 4 Pop Strings 2 Or 13 Vol127
Part 5 St. Strings OrS03 Vol127
Part 6 Gwyo Press Sy38 Vol75 Keyboard <C4
Part 7 Church Organ XP OgS31 Vol 81 Keyboard <C3
part 8 String Ens Or01 Vol 127

If I didn't make mistake transcribing that, I'll be surprised. Ley me know if you have suggestions.

Anyone have some suggestions for creating a patch layer to mimic the synths from the TV show themes "Hill Street Blues" and "St. Elsewhere"? I have some good approximations but I think they could be better.

Does anyone know where the Fantasia patch comes from (bank number)? I have it as part of a user created patch that I made but it doesn't give a location (0000). I can't find it.

Also, I have a fun Beach Boys layer I put together - good for California Girls.
Layer 1: D-50 Stack SyS13 Vol75
Layer 2: Juno Piano 2 P5 Vol100 >C3
Layer 3: Foundation Gt79 Vol100 <F3
Layer 4: Pick Guitar Gt20 Vol100 <F3
Layer 5: Stacc. Heaven SyS14 Vol 75

Not sure of this helps but I'm pretty sure it's in the keyboard category. I don't have my ds readily available as I'm recovering from a procedure sorry lol. I'm sure someone else probably has the answer.

Does anyone have an idea for how to do a layered patch or split patch that would imitate the rock and roll guitar sound of, say, the Beatles? It needs to carry the melody, too. (No singers.)

(This is for people of my country, so please excuse the following text in Spanish)

Como crear dos sonidos tipicos de Guaracha de Organo para el Juno DS:

Patch #1:
* Wave #1: INTA-600, Gain +6, Output level 127, Chorus +60, Reverb 127
* Wave #2: INTA-489, Gain +6, Output level 127, Chorus +60, Reverb 127, Tone Coarse -12

Patch #2:
* Wave #1: INTA-600, Gain +6, Output level 127, Chorus 0, Reverb 127, Tone Coarse -12
* Wave #2: INTA-621, Gain +6, Output level 127, Chorus 0, Reverb 127.

There are multiple patchs with the word "Fantasia" in it, but the only one called just "Fantasia" is SY346 FANTASIA (GM0172).

Here is a piano sound I have been using through my Bose L1Pro 8 amplifier. I have a hard time being satisfied with piano sounds on these keyboards unless I listen through headphones. This works so far for me if I have the Bose bass turned down a notch and the treble up a couple of settings.

Layered patch, velocity light:
1) PFS01 - 88 Stage Grand Vol 100
2) PF12 - Concert Grand Vol 86
3) PF13 - Warm Tune Vol 61

Let me know if you have some other suggestions for improvement. Everybody's ears are slightly different.
Nice piano! I added a Soft OB Pad (PRST 0968) in Part 2 with LEVEL set to zero. This way, if I want to add a pad to the mix I can do it using the LOWER slider :)

Hi, where can I find these downloads? Thanks
A little late but just create layered performance using those patches:

PART 1: PF078 FM EP MIX
PART 3: PFS08 80's FM

That's all.

Hi, besides sharing patch/performance info in writing here, I noticed this www.presetpatch.com/synth/roland-juno-ds site. It has hardly anything useful yet for the DS, but why not boosting that a bit by sharing our patches and performance there?
