Hello, just a curiosity. Does anyone know on what real piano the grand pno ds is based on/sampled from? I thought it would be a quite interesting question to pose. Thanks!

I've read that Roland's sampled grand piano sounds are from a Steinway, but I don't think Roland has ever definitively released that information themselves.

I’d be wondering, what they did with the JV “piano” sample, that it’s not much like a Steinway but neither a piano. :D
(But really! How can the soul get so out of the sound through processing and compression? This is an old big question for me.)
