MIDI-learn in DAW not responding to DS-61

Post by MikeFloutier »

Hi, I’m wanting to play my DS-61 through my DAW (Reaper).

I link them with a standard 5 pin midi cable. With this it plays fine (note on/off, velocity). It also responds to the upper and lower sliders as if they’re sending CC07 messages, ie I can control the Main volume in my DAW’s synth patches. It also effects “Octave shift” messages, which is helpful for me.

What I really need is to be able to program one of the 4 sliders on the DS61 to alter one of the two instruments in my favourite patches on the DAW.

I’m familiar with using “Midi-learn” to achieve this but it’s not responding when I move any sliders on the DS.

Any ideas?

Kind regards, Mike.

Use the DAW CONTROL function, it will let you use the sliders however you want.
