Juno Patches Outputting in Stereo Despite Mono Cable
Juno Patches Outputting in Stereo Despite Mono Cable
I just bought the Juno DS 88. And on headphones it sounds great. However, when I connect my keyboard to a speaker it sounds muddy. This only happens with patches that have stereo settings natively in them. I am trying to figure out how to get around this. I'm only connecting a 1/4 in cable to the left (mono) output and still it sounds pretty bad. Help please!
Re: Juno Patches Outputting in Stereo Despite Mono Cable
Well, I may be wrong here, but to get a stereo output you need either a speaker with an stereo input or use 2 separate mono speakers with 2 lines out from your JunoDS (L/R). So, In your case, if your speakers accepts stereo input, you need either a 2mono-1stereo 1/4 cable or connect a stereo 1/4 cable from your headphones output to your speaker.
Rergardless of this, take in consideration that most of the time you need to adjust your master EQ values (either on your JunoDS eq knobs or at your audio console) to adjust levels, because speakers will never sound as headphones does.
