Expansion Packs

Post by Fretzkey1 »

My JUNO-DS came with a thumb drive with 10 expansion packs, that must be loaded one at a time into memory.
I've been reviewing the Tone Manager Manual and haven't found where it explicitly states that I can use the Tone Manager to select my favorites from among them and create my own expansion pack that focuses on the sounds I will use for live performance.
Has anyone done this?
Thanks in advance!

It can't be done or at lest is not as easy as it sounds. In theory, all patches inside an expansion pack are based totally or partially in samples that are part of that same expansion pack. So, when you install a new expansion pack, all those samples will be replaced with the samples included in the new expansion pack, so any user patch you may have in your JunoDS that is based on a sample from the previous pack won't work because that sample is not longer there.

The only way for that to work would be to sample the patch you want to keep and then load that sample into your user sample memory, and then create patch from that sample.
