Deleted preset patch and performances

What happens with a performance containing a user patch when that user patch is gone from the User bank?

There is not such a thing as a "removed user patch". An user patch is a slot that is always available; either initialized or programmed. So, if you have a performance that is using user patch USR001 in, let's say, PART 3, and now USR001 got initialized, then PART 3 on your performance will reflect that change.
