Roland Juno sound list

HI, I bought my Roland Juno a few months ago and I love it. My only complaint is that there is so much variety in sounds, you forget which ones are appropriate for which songs. Does anyone know of a table that guides you to sounds that are similar to recordings? For example, if you wanted to play Love Her Madly by the Doors (like I do), you can check recommended piano/organ settings that match closely to the original. I spend a lot of time searching... nope, nope, nope, maybe, a little bit, nope, nope, possibly... I know you can save them, but it is very hard to remember which one is best for which song.

That said, I just got my DS61 recently as well and struggled with the organs and pianos. I just downloaded the following for FREE and was amazed by the additional organs and pianos, most of the titles much more descriptive. You'll easily find some Doors sounds that you're looking for.

I'm not amazed by the Juno so far but I'm thinking it's ok. But I'm mostly disappointed by the organ sounds.

I have downloaded the keys collection expansion - which is quite a lot, but still didn't find much that has caught my attention in terms of quality. I'd take suggestions for Light my Fire, for example.

Maybe you need to invest more money in a higher level keyboard, perhaps a Yamaha ModX, a Korg Krome Ex or a Roland FA / Fantom-0. Take in consideration that JunoDS is an entry level keyboard with an amazing price-value ratio but based on an outdated sound engine.... you get what you paid for (although, IMHO, in the case of the JunoDS you definitely get more than you pay for).

You also get out of it what you put into it.

Learn the editing and sampling processes and build the sounds you need.

I've edited 99% of the stock sounds on my Juno DS88 for both of the bands I perform with.

Granted, most of the Organs are Meh! @ best, but there are always alternatives.

I use Vb3m, and it is a KILLER organ app.

The Juno DS are Very versatile keyboards, the magic inside is customizing the patches/performances.
