Step Sequence 'Tie' Button

Post by feli74 »

Hi,

what is the purpose of the step sequencers 'Tie' button? I was expecting that it prolongs the previous steps' note to the current one (so I can programm notes that span 1/8th, 1/4th etc) but it seems not to do that. In fact, it doesn't seem to have any purpose, I hitting in in step edit mode without keys pressed, with keys pressed, but it just does...nothing.

Can somebody explain how this button is used?

Hi, it does what is supposed to do: make notes longer.

From the manual, P16:
To enter a tie, hold down a key and press the [TIE (LENGTH)] button. The tie is entered, and you advance to the next step.
Working as expected here!

Hey, you are right!! Whenever I tried, I hit 'tie' first and then a key, but here order matters! Guess I should have read the manual more carefully.

Thanks a bunch!!
