You have a patch number 1 with a sequence recorded and this sequenced has parameters changing during playback (you can record up to 4 parameters movements + Note in the S8 sequencer). If you want to select patch number 2 while the sequencer of patch number 1 is running, the patch number 2 will retain the modified parameters from the previous sequenced patch number 1 (even if the patch number 2 does not have a sequence running), UNLESS the patch number 2 has itself sequenced parameters running from step one. which means that your patch number 2 will not sound as it should be (as it's saved)..
