Clicks when using EXT USB and Delay

Post by cello »

Hi all - getting reports that users are hearing clicks under certain settings on the System-8.

Would be useful if owners could replicate the following settings and report back if they hear clicks or not - many thanks :)

1. Go to Jupiter 8 patch A3
2. Make sure S-8 has EXT USB enabled for sync
3. Set tempo (externally) to 98
4. Press tempo sync button
5. Set Delay/chorus to DLY
6. Set TIME to 1/8D
7. Set LEVEL to 110

Thanx a lot for this. I just want to add, that you should be able to replicate it even in midi external mode, with other patches thats has delay. The main conditions are: be in external mode (usb, midi, auto...), have tempo sync button ON, and use any of the delay effects (dly, pan, dly+ch). thanx

As noted elsewhere, I replicated this. Regarding "Make sure S-8 has EXT USB enabled for sync", my System 8 was just set to Auto, and I had the S8 MIDI IN connected directly to a Novation Circuit MIDI OUT with a MIDI Din cable.

Fixed with the new update 1.12. Happy ! You'll just hear a delay variation when changing patch but no more clics!! :-))
