System 8 as midi controller for Integra 7

Post by runningman67 »

what do you think ?

Not really got room for an A49 midi controller with a Super Natural button. Will the System 8 be good enough to squeeze the pips out of the Integra 7?

Well, I don't have a A49, but the system-8 is actually quite a lot bigger for the same number of keys. So space-wise. No.

Sadly the CC codes are different between the integration and system 8. E.g Filter cutoff on Integra-7 is CC74, but its CC3 on the System 8

Thanks.
I already have S8 so I might as well get the a49 and move my mini brute elsewhere, which is a shame but hey ho, I want to use the I7 to it's full potential.

The System-8 lacks aftertouch, so using it as a MIDI controller for something as advanced as the Integra-7 wouldn't make much sense. If you can live without aftertouch, well then, perhaps you'll be fine with it.
