How do you erase just a single note from a sequence?

Press and hold EDIT/DISP button and then tap the offending step. It should now flash red.

Now press and hold together the EDIT/DISP button plus the REST/ERASE button. It should now go to the neutral colour showing the step is now empty.

Thanks Cello, sussed it.
You can press the offending key aswell in real time mode.
I'm a bit overfaced at the moment.
I've midi'd my new Integra 7 to my S8 and I've freed some patches up for drum tracks.
It makes for one hell of a synth. System 8 JDXA hybrid!?
I struggle with the basic learning because I'm busy jamming and enjoying myself too much to learn the detailed stuff.
I've never been the studious type.
