How many voices of polyphony does the System-8 have?

Post by vst_twc »

I was wondering how many voices of polyphony the System-8 has, especially when it is using the Jupiter-8 plugout while in dual mode. Typically each node when playing in dual mode will take up 2 voices, because it is composed of an upper and lower voice. So, in the case of the Boutique JP-08 which only has 4 voices, you can only play 2 notes at a time!

How many notes would you be able to play with the System-8?

8 with one plugout. 4 each plugout with 2 plugouts layered or split.

Oh so does that mean that a D-50 plugout only has 8 voices?

Not sure if there is a D50 plugout. I'd of thought 8 is the maximum regardless of plugout though.
