Certain buttons not lighting up

Hello all,

I've had my System 8 for a few months, not had any problems apart from a minor - but annoying - issue that has recently started happening.

Some buttons don't light up when selected. This affects the mode and plug out buttons only. The buttons do work when selecting the mode and the LCD display reflects the selection. It's just that they don't light up.

It isn't that big a deal as the display is correct, but because I like to work in a dimmed room it would be handy to have the buttons light up.

Has anyone encountered this problem?
