System 8 Modulation in Performance Mode

I have come up against something and am wondering if anyone else has this.
When I am in Performance mode the modulation trigger doesn't work on the lower part.
The bender work on both upper and lower parts but the modulation trigger only work on the upper.
I have tried setting Rx to ON in the menu setting but it makes no difference.
Is there a bug in the firmware causing tis?
