Noob Query - Pitch bend and mod wheel not working

Hi

Just getting started with my new RD - everything works as it should except when using VST's. In fl studio the pitch bend and mod wheel don't work (using omnisphere as plug in in FL). Any suggestions / tips (The pitch bend etc works fine when not using VST's)
