apply a function to only one tone of a Program?
apply a function to only one tone of a Program?
On the RD-2000, I created a patch (I think you call them Programs?) with 4 tones - a piano, EP, Organ and Pad, each assigned to one of the first 4 sliders. I already know how to apply a function. I'd like to apply a cutoff filter to just the Pad and assign it to one of the mod wheels. But I don't want the filter to apply to the other tones - just the pad. Is there a way to do that?

without having it tried - maybe that could work.
cutoff in general can be manipulated in the Tone Designer, I guess that parameter should be present for a pad sound.
The midi implementation manual states that there is a cutoff controller (#74), so you have to assign that controller to the mod wheel and edit the zone settings so that the mod wheel only affects the zone/tone of the Pad sound.
2nd try would be to try via Mod FX equalizer setting, but probably the Pad sound needs that for a different effect.
