MIDI/master keyboard question

I'm curious how easy it would be for the RD-2000 to pull double duty as a master keyboard for a large collection of external gear (mainly synths). From what I've seen in demos the answer should be positive, but I'm interested in the ease of use in particular.

Basically what I'm hoping to achieve is to set up a number of configurations of different zones and layers with each zone assigned to a particular midi channel. Each configuration could have different splits and layers and each config might also use a different set of MIDI channel... Then I'd like to store each of these to either scenes, programs or whatever and be able to quickly switch between them on the fly...

e.g. config 1: 2 zones on MIDI channels 1 and 2
config 2: 3 zones on channels 1,3 and 7
etc...

Could someone confirm if this is possible?
Also, if yes, could you switch between them while playing? e.g. to swich synths on the fly...

Watch this video and listen closely. I have it queued up where Ed begins to discuss exactly what you're asking. Enjoy...

Many thanks for the video link. But actually I've already seen that before and that's why I've said in the begininning that the answer is probably yes.

However what is not 100% clear from that video, and I probably should have been more precise about that, is whether for instance the MIDI channel settings are saved per scene. If yes then great. If however they are somehow "hardcoded/pre-assigned" to each zone in some menu independent from your saved scenes, then that would make changing targeted hardware on the fly much more difficult/impossible...

Based on what it says in the Parameter Guide, it looks like you can store MIDI transmit channels for each zone in Programs or Scenes.

Awesome! Many thanks!
(I've checked the owner's manual but for some reason forgot to check the parameters guide before...)
