In "RD-2000 MIDI Imple_eng01_W"
I saw some values for "scale duplex.
page 11
"0075 0aaa aaaa "duplex scale" (0-127) matching " super natural piano " (checked on Rd2000)
page 13
"066B 0000 aaaa "duplex scale" (0-10) matching to" V Piano " (checked on Rd2000)

"Tone color".
Tone color adjusts an effect specific to each sound.
example:
V piano "S01 stage grand" (affects stereo width)
Super natural piano "0001 concert grand" (affects stereo width and pan key follow)
0041 piano w (affects boost)
0138 SA E.piano (affects morphing)
0692 brass (affects boost)
0385 wide softt pad (affects stereo width) etc .....

Bonjour Gus,

Ive updated the program.

Duplex scale and tone colour sliders are available for V piano and s/n piano
Ive added tonewheel type to organ editor
Ive added numbers for each slider
Ive changed the form backcolour to show properly on a Mac when using crossover.

When i am home next I will upload the new version . 1.1.3

Thank you for testing for me. Im still saving up for an RD2000 and without a your help it would not be possible to write the software.

When i upload the program could you kindly check all controls to make sure they work ok when you have time.

I test version 1.1.3. congratulations you advance

The scale duplex slider of "Super natural piano" is no OK

The tone color slider of "V Piano" is a problem.
the "S01 stage grand" tone is 127 by default.
the action on the slider blocks at 10.
the action up then down on the slider remains inactive and remains at 10.

For tone wheel type:
original
vintage 1
vintage 2
can you explain to me, I do not find on Rd2000 or so I miss something?
Is it in the effects? I will look again tomorrow

Hi Gus,

The tonewheel type is listed in the rd2000 midi manual page 13 - offset address 06 78. I dont know why its not on the RD2000 screen as an option?

I will take a look at the v piano tone slider. Its probably a simple fix to the code.

Ive corrected the code so the v piano tone color slider should work now. I will post version 1.1.4 tomorrow hopefully.

Once the software has been checked what should features i add next?

I found:
In window "Super Natural Piano" everything is OK except
The slider "duplex scale" 0-127 works when ("internal zone" tab menu) is selected when opening the first time equivalent Zone 0
The slider no longer works when zone 1 or 2 or 3 or 4 or 5 or 6 or 7 or 8 is selected

For tone wheel type
: original
: vintage 1
: vintage2
it's ok the effects are audible and are all three different
On the other hand I can not find any parameters on RD2000 that the command can modify (0-1-2)

For additional functionality:
for "super natural piano" setting parameter (Sympatic resonance)
List of sounds by categories (10 categories) see .pdf
also including EXP Axial libraries (2 categories)

Hi Gus,

I cant see why the duplex scale slider in sn pianos is not working on zones 1 to 8? I Cant see any errors in the code, I will look again later.

Hi Gus.

Ok. Looks like the duplex scale is not a zone specific setting so i know what to do :-)

I will add the sympathetic settings to the supernatural piano form as it is only applied to these tones

I agree that a form for other tone settings would be good.

In the help menu i think it would be useful to add the firmware 1.5 revision and the midi implimentation pdf. The tone and program list is at the back of the parameter manual. All Copyright Roland Corporation.

So thats my next job! Version 1.2.0 :-)

scale duplex the problem remains the same (see pdf more explanation).
Can the code be assigned to zone 1 to 8?
Looks like the code is linked to the internal zone tab.
It's probably stupid but

Hopefully SN piano duplex now works - its not zone specific? If a zone is chosen in sysex duplex does not work.

Ive added sympathetic resonance settings in sn piano form.. There are many more settings in midi manual than parameter manual? is it that the RD2000 screen does not show all possible settings. If so the editor gives users access to many more settings! Like tonewheel type.

Ive added midi manual and firmware 1.5 addendum to help menu.

Duplex scale for (S.P.N) now works in zone selection (1 to 8) and also in selection (Internal zone)

Sympathetic resonance:
selection (internal zone) switch on / off works. OK
All sliders work. OK
Selection (inner zone) affects all zones from 1 to 8

If selection (zone 1 to 8)
switch on / off OK
other sliders do not work . no / OK

For (SNP)
So to set the parameters of piano designer and sympathetic resonance together there is problem because If selection (zone 1 to 8)
switch on / off OK
other sliders resonance sympathetic do not work no / OK
