RD2000: No sound output when sequenced from midi (DAW)

Hi Gys.

I think my midi thru switch is on? So thats maybe why midi in using midi cables dont work! Im away from RD2000 but will check when Im back.

Im not sure why midi in is disabled if midi thru is on? Because if using an external synth i could not send its midi going into rd2000 to usb midi thru? Is this a bug with the RD operating system?

Yes the Korg Opsix is great. Ive tried the vst version. I prefer hardware synths which I guess you have? although i guess they sound identical. I like the hands in control 😁 the korg wavestate and modwave are great too.

Yes I have the hardware version the arpeggiator and the sequencer are included.

Just to confirm you mean if the usb midi thru switch is on it disables the midi in din port?

If the usb midi thru switch is off the midi in din port works?

So it looks like you cant send midi to the RD2000 midi in din and use usb midi thru at the same time? Seems like a bug to me as you might want to send the midi in din port data onto usb midi thru to the computer? Good job I've got a separate audio/midi interface then 😁

Page 33 of the parameter manual does not seem to say this. Unless they are referring to usb midi in data to the RD? Its a bit unclear?

Yes. If usb midi thru is on, then din midi in of the RD does not goto the RD, its routed to din midi thru also. This is not clear in the parameter manual. P24. Anyway at least its not a hardware fault.
