RD2000 editor v 3.1 free

Post by Stuart100 »

Hi.

Ive uploaded version 3.1 to my website. It includes the ability to load the new German Vpiano expansion programs.

It also loads vpiano settings from the RD to the pc. Allows you to edit them and send back. Local copies of the settings can be saved and recalled from the pc.

Updated docs on my site too.

Let me know what you think.

Cheers

Hi Stuart I tried version 3.1.
does it work for you?
In my case it doesn't work.
When I activate "load tone color from Rd" the value drops to 0/127.
When I activate "load rest of settings from Rd the lid value drops to 0/6 and the string resonance value drops to 0/10.
When I run the command again I get an error message which I attach.

Hi Gus.

Thanks for your testing 😁 can you tell me which VPiano tone you are using to test. Also, Can you also tell me the version of Windows you are using. Eg. Windows 10?

Thanks

Hi Gus.

Midi out in the software needs to be set to the RD2000 as well. Otherwise the request for the sysex dump cant reach the RD.

I can put in error traps in next version with a reminder.

Hi Stuart, I'm stupid because I don't have "output midi" enabled.
now it works better, on the other hand I have to bypass an error message and relaunch the command to initialize the "tone designer" parameters it's ok it works

Hi Stuart, now everything is ok.
So we can know the parameters of "tone designer" of all V pianos
What is the purpose of the "save and load" button?
Is it to save a personal configuration and be able to recall it to upload it to the RD 2000?
How do you see how to use it?

Well done...

Do you think that this possibility allows a configuration exchange between RD 2000 users? (I'm thinking of personal settings or even those of the German piano)
Do you plan to develop the same thing for "Super natural piano"?

I was a little too quick with the German piano settings, it wouldn't be legal because they are subject to a user license...let's forget

Hi Gus,

Thanks for testing. Great job 😁

The save and load buttons allows you to save settings and to reload into the RD as well as exchange settings with others easily.

The German piano expansion has to be purchased from Roland cloud. Without doing that you cant play it. Its a great sounding piano.

Yes im adding same features for supernatural pianos / elec pianos/ clavs and then organs.

Thank you

Hi,

Version 3.2.2 is now on my website.

It enables retrieving the supernatural, ePiano and Clav tone designer settings using the software.

Uninstall the previous version before installing this version.

Updated docs loaded too and also included in the installer.

Cheers

Hi Stuart,
The values of the "super natural piano" displayed are all ok.

Except for the Type 1/2/3 shade values there is a -1 sample shift.
type 3 on Rd shows type2 on app
Type 1 displays "shade" text.

Internal zone 1 ok (2 to 8 is not taken into account)

The "save" and "load" buttons are not yet implemented, so no possibility to load the values on RD.

The reading of cursor values remains global but not precise enough.
a numerical value associated in "info bubble" will improve the reading.
It's just an idea, we could have discussed it earlier.
adding a (tooltip linked to the value) can be complicated to do.
Good luck for the future.

Thanks for testing again Gus.

Ive corrected the error in supernatural pianos - Nuance now shows correct value.

Yes i could add a tooltip bubble to show values.

I may add the save and load buttons to the other forms if people find them useful.

Ive now written the code for Organ and Other tones - tone editor. Once Ive done some testing I will upload to my website and let the forum know.

Best wishes

Stuart
