Hi Stuart.
version 3.5.2.
For the delay parameters, "HF damp" does not work, I looked everywhere, no value in different menu even FX delay does not react. I wonder if this parameter is part of the basic delay commands.

- compressor module everything is OK.
- foot controller module and wheel mode everything is OK.
for the "button assignment" module, I'm swimming trying to understand how it works.

Thanks Gus.

I will look at hf damp again.

Then upload an updated version of 3.5.2 which has external zone - load settings added.

Cheers

Hi Stuart.
For knob assignments, the application does not correctly load "CC# assignments"
she charges
CC14 in 1 OK on RD.
CC15 in 2 OK on RD.
CC 16 in 3 OK on RD.
CC 17 in 4 OK on RD.
CC14 in 5 no OK on RD = 18.
CC15 in 6 no OK on RD = 19.
CC 16 in 7 no OK on RD = 20.
CC 17 in 8 no OK on RD =21.

All cursors display (range min 0/range max 127).

Then, to do a functional test, I randomly assign a value to all the knobs on the RD by pressing the assign button and turning each knob.
The recovery of values is not taken into account the cursors remain at (range min 0/range max 127)

I will try to go further in understanding.
A question: What function corresponds to each CC#?
Is there a list?

Hi Stuart.
A big mistake on my part, for knobs assignment, I was not in the right menu of the RD.
By default the application returns the correct values (range min 0/range max 127) everything is OK.
When I was in the knobs assignment menu of the RD I modified all the min and max values of each knob. and then I retrieved all the correct values on the application's sliders.
So everything works fine except buttons 5/6/7/8 which repeat the values of buttons 1/2/3/4 (same CC")

Hi Gus,

Thanks again.

Ive corrected a bug with HF damp in delay. TCTRL-Delay was set to the wrong slider for hf damp.

Ive also added on the Program Zone Edit / External Zone - load settings button.

Latest version on my website now :-)

I dont have sysex data for all of the effects, so as you say best to leave their load settings and leave the effects section as it is.

This just leaves - Tremolo. I only have the data DesertBoat supplied me so I can give that a go - Load Settings - for the 7 Tremolo/amp types including Rotary 2. After that I think it is done. Unless you can think of any useful additions?

Cheers

Hi Stuart.
latest version test.
Super all delay modes work.

I immersed myself in external mode, I will look at all that tomorrow I have to find the operation. (it's a bit shitty)
Have you checked external mode operation?

Hi Stuart.
testing latest version.
(remolo/amp simulator)
it would be necessary to try to include the (info bubble) to obtain a good comparative reading with the RD.
overall there are still errors everywhere.
on "Normal" and "A piano"
the retrieved value "lid" is wrong 4 for 5.
the "low gain and hi gain" values do not respond
I haven't tested everything yet, it's tedious and at the moment I'm running out of time...

Hi Gus,

dont do any more testing on Tremolo as Im updating the code.....

Ive done some bug fixes and added info bubbles to the tremolo / amp sim sliders which should now show correct values.

1. The lid position (A Piano) info bubble and text Ive just fixed as the value reported was 1 out .
2. Ive fixed the high and low gain sliders (Normal, A Piano and Rotary) as when loading settings they were 15 out.

Ive loaded version 3.5.3 on my website. I will try and go thru checking later. I know it takes a lot of time and as much as the coding.

Ive updated the docs too.

I think the software is now pretty much finished. Not much more to add other than the odd bug fix. But you never know :-)

Thank you

Hi Gus,

Well Ive corrected the code - this is the problem with no midi settings details in the Roland midi imp manual. Anyway ...Its working nicely with Normal Piano. Ive checked it. The code for the rest of the tremolos etc should be fine now.

Note. Tremolo/Amp Sim does not apply to the VPiano.

The very latest version of 3.5.3 is now on my site. :-)

Hi Stuart.
last version.
We are going forward.
"tremolo/amp simulator" test.

- "Normal" = OK.

- "A piano" everything is OK except a small value position difference on (low gain and hi gain) when I load the values,
the cursors display -15 when the RD is at 0.
when I set the RD to 15 the sliders go back to 0
(there is a lag on the bottom).

- "E piano" = OK.

- "guitar amp" (does not load values).

- "rotary" = OK.

- " MKS 20" = no Ok (does not load values).

- "Rotary 2" = OK.

Re: RD2000 editor v 3.5.4 free

Post by Stuart100 »

Hi Gus,

Ive fixed Guitar Amp and MKS 20 so all should work ok now :-) Ive uploaded version 3.5.4 and docs on my website.

Ive also fixed the A Piano hf/lf damp slider issues being 15 out.

The reason I was having trouble is that the Roland midi imp document seems to show a couple of unused bytes before the Tremolo parameters begin. That meant my byte positions were 2 bytes out. Which are now corrected :-) Its been a bit of a detective story decoding the sysex here :-) especially as the midi imp document does not say what location any parameter is. But I think we got there now.

Thank you

Hi Stuart.
testing version 3.5.4.
"tremolo/sim amp"

"A piano" low gain/hi gain correction = OK.

"Mks 20" everything is ok, just the calibration of the "depth" scale remains.
on the application the cursor is graduated from 0/15, the RD starts at 1/15 the result displays -1 to the real value of the RD.

"guitar amp" .

preamp type: load "clean twin" value = Ok
pre amp gain: load nothing = no OK
speaker type: load nothing = no OK
mod waveform: load nothing = no OK

Does not recover the other values of the sliders either.. (to be reviewed)
