Roland announced today the RD-2000 EX: https://www.roland.com/global/products/rd-2000_ex/
The RD-2000 EX is to the RD-2000 what the Fantom EX is to the Fantom: Basically the same hardware as the non-EX version (except for the EX label). It comes with two V-Piano expansions. The existing German Concert expansion and the new Essential Upright expansion. The non-EX version can be upgraded to the EX version via a paid upgrade.
I am a bit surprised about this product. Instead I would have expected a successor to the RD-2000 that is based on the Zen-Core architecture.

Re: New: Roland RD-2000 EX Stage Piano
I am a bit confused by the release of the "RD-2000 EX Upgrade". I purchased the "German Concert V-Piano Expansion". Does this "RD-2000 EX Upgrade" add anything and/or overwrite anything I have already installed (ver 2.0)?

You get a second V-piano - an upright.
And as an existing GC owner, you should expect a discount code from Roland to get the EX for 75% off. Do NOT buy the EX prior to getting that code.

Thanks for that information. I did get a 75% discount code number. Now, do I want to do it? Hmmm. I'll post back if I do.
