Re: Roland D-50

I have the V-Synth XT and did the same (as this was the first incarnation of the D50 emulation code they updated and used for the DCB version). The V synth XT version doesn't quite have the depth of the Cloud version. Some of the patches like Digital Native Dance has elements slightly low or not in at all, I'm told that was due to the limited structure at the time (The original D50 code was written in 2001 for the VariOS) and the PCMCIA cards they were built on were also limited and so there was a conversation method on converting and replaying the PCM elements of the D50 back then. Fast forward to the DCB and they have sonically recreated a great rendition of the original. There will always be slight differences as the original hardware and code is 31 years old now and will always get slight differences.

I also will be selecting this as my first plugin to keep as it greatly improves on the V-Synth version I have.
