I'm a bit shocked to find that we in the UK are being stung by the Cloud Subscription prices...

Subscription in the US is $19.95 per month, at the current exchange rate, that equates to £14.42 per month here in the UK - So why are Roland charging £18.95 a month?

Hi.

I am based in the UK but paying my subscription in US$.
So it is working out at around £15/month currently.

I can't remember if I had the choice to select a currency when I subscribed but I am obviously prone to exchange rate fluctuations; I'll win when the GBP is strong but lose when it weakens.

If Roland are now setting a fixed GBP rate, then they will have built in some capacity to absorb exchange rate fluctuations. Imagine if the GBP and US$ are on parity (1 : 1)... You'll still only pay £18.95. I'd be paying £19.95 because I am billed in dollars... This is normal practice for many international businesses.

A straight currency conversion doesn't take into account VAT.
