Mainstage Program Change via USB

Hi.

I'm using a VR-730 with Apple Mainstage and a Novation Launchkey, both connected vis USB.
I can play the sounds in Mainstage from the Launchkey but what I want to do is to use an external instrument channel on each patch to change the bank and program on the Roland so I only have to select one patch instead of setting up the Novation and then having to change the VR-730 patch.
Please could anyone tell me if this is possible?

Hello, a little late to the party here. I have been able to get patch changing to work on the VR 730 with the midi in mode 2 and using only channel 4.
This is the channel set for the upper part. After that, I used the patch LSB info in the back of the midi implementation guide. Seems to work.
