Hi,
Is there any way to fix this quite old problem? I bough a Fantom-6 lately and after a couple of months I got this error message. Previously I owned a Fantom 7 for over an year and there was no problems.
After this error message I tried the "shift- exit- enter" combination to fix the memory. Didn't work. Then I checked the firmaware version. It was 2.1. I updated it into the latest, 3.01. Error message again. Tried again "shif- exit -enter" combination, but the error is still there.
Is there anything else I could try? Factory reset of the machine or something...Is there actually been mechanically faulty memories out there, or is this all just a software problem?
Solution to "WAVE/EXPANSION MEMORY DAMAGED" yet?

Did you press these keys before power on and keep pressed while the unit boots?

Didn't work
I powered it on with those keys pressed...
First the display says "ERROR Wave/Expansion memory damaged"
After pressing those 3 keys simultaneously again, I'll get "ERROR Wave/Expansion memory damaged" with "CONTINUE " and "TRY RECOVERY" buttons
after trying "TRY RECOVERY" I'll get "Function error !"
