Dual Oscillator Partials

Post by xp30 »

The Zen-Core partials are stereo (in PCM mode), and there are a few things that are special about Zen-Core: The waveforms for the left and right side can be chosen individually, and there are additional options for the stereo behavior (stereo detune and stereo width). In combination with pan and insert effects, we can use stereo partials as dual oscillator partials, to get a bit more out of the Fantom (for people who are hitting the limits).

A simple example: Starting from an initialized patch, set analog feel to +10. Select two different saw waveforms for the left and right side. Set stereo detune to +10. Add an MFX to control the stereo position (for example Juno Chorus). And set the filter and filter envelope to your liking. You can use amplitude pan to mix between the two oscillators (from 2:1 to 1:2).
