Playing the arpeggiator remotely into a DAW
I'm considering buying an Xm. I'd use it with a remote bigger keyboard. Is it possible to play the arpeggiator remotely and have the Xm output the notes via USB/MIDI to my DAW? I use a Yamaha MX49 and this is not possible, as the arpeggiator will output its notes only when played from its own keyboard.

You can certainly do it with the X - I've just tried it using a Nord Lead as the controller keyboard. I pressed a single key on the Nord and Cubase recorded the arpeggiator pattern from the Jupiter as midi notes.
There's a setting for "MIDI: Remote Kbd" which is described on page 63 of the Jupiter X reference manual. The same description is given on page 61 of the Xm reference manual (Q&A 35), so I would say it works for that as well.
