Jupiter X vs Boutique ACB
So I'm deeply interested in getting the X as my next keyboard. I'm kind of curious about it's ability to match the sounds of the classic analog keyboards. The ACB on the boutiques sounds identical to the originals. After testing some sound for sound it's hard to tell the difference. Is the Jupiter X as impressive when mimicking old school analogs? I've never been able to find a truly solid answer on that one.
Re: Jupiter X vs Boutique ACB
Noise can't be used as a modulation source for the filter on the 101 from what I understand; so there seems to be at least that difference between the Jupiter X ABM from the original (and I believe boutique).
Whatever the case, ACB apparently takes things down to more individual circuit component level than ABM (which the Jupiter X uses), so at least in that regard, ACB tends to be more faithful to the original that they are emulating. There's an interview with the Roland heads available here:
