it offers no more additional access to the synth engine on the 707 than what one can already do through means outside the 707 itself.

Subscription also includes an additional 46 soundpacks (700+ presets) AND a year's worth of access to the rest of the Cloud instruments.
Such said, in lieu of a more robust MIDI spec and a true purely patch editor being possible, Zen Pro can be utilized as an alternative.
