SOUNDTIPP:set voice-assign to single, for stopping flanging double notes

Post by check24 »

The stupid default setting for each clip is automatically set to limit.

Voice assign:limit ..... is creating flanges and phasings on same note
That doesn't sound good like a real synthesizer.

Set this to single for each clip.
Then each note is re-triggered and the old same note are stopped.
Sound is fuller and real precise.

Same on the Fantom, and presumably related products. I agree that SINGLE would have been the better default value, and it could have avoided some unnecessary discussions about the polyphony on these products.

I also posted viewtopic.php?f=66&t=69412 for the Fantom.

Roland should just make it so when in note mode you can hold shift and turn the value knob to change the voice assign of the patch that or hold the track button and turn value knob either would make sense and be really intuitive. Perhaps the first and reserve holding the track button and turning value knob to have a users favorite assignable functions for the tracks. Given every track is a little different it adds a little bit of personal flavor to it if you want to mix it up more.
