MC-707 Sound List definition w comp and P

Post by patrickhb2000 »

Hallo,
can anyone tell me, what the definition are for w and comp in the sound list for the MC-707 Kits.

For example: Kit 46 TR-909 comp
KIt 47 TR-909 w comp

I can hear differences but I would like to know, what it stands for?

Also some instruments had additional words like Sound 60 TR-626 Kick 2 P

So, what means P, comp and w?

Thanks

As far as I understand it, kits with "comp" are designed for the "Drums + Compressor" tracks. Kits with "w" seem to have some kind of stereo width on their drums, presumably some drums have left and right samples instead of just a left one (which is essentially mono then). No idea what "P" means for drums.
