Audio over midi bidirectional?

Hi all. Anyone know if it's possible to use audio over midi live to mix stereo outputs from both an ipad/mac and the Gaia 2? So mix Gaia audio and virtual instrument audio together to come out of either the Gaia or the mac? Thanks.
