Need to ask you something Analog
Hi, my name is Ian and I have a fantom s and a vs2000. Do you know how to connect the two together via midi so that I can get the vs to record each part of music in time.
I believe the vs cannot record midi I have heard but can use MMC and midi clock.
Do you know about this stufff? I ask because I see you have similar equipment.
I am in the US and do not speak portugese. Any help would be appreciated.
I just want to know what parameters to set on the fantom . ( by the way I have them connected digitally.

Fantom S synced to VS2000
Ola Ian, se pretende simplesmente gravar o sinal audio do Fantom S no VS experimente o seguinte:
Hi Ian, if you just need to record the Fantom S audio on the VS2000, try this:
1. On the VS2000 MIDI Parameter set MIDI OUT/THRU to Out and SyxEx. Tx Sw to On
2. On the VS2000 SYNC Parameter set SYNC MODE to INT and set MIDI OUT SYNC Gen to MIDICLK
3. On the VS2000 Hold down shift and press TAP, on this screen create a new TEMPO MAP that matches your song on the Fantom S.
4. On the Fantom S set Sync Mode to SLAVE-MIDI, MMC Mode to SLAVE.
5. On the Fantom S MIDI parameter set Receive Exclusive to on.
6. Connect VS2000 MIDI OUT into Fantom S MIDI IN.
7. Arm the desired TRACK on the VS for REC.
8. SOLO the desired TRACK on the Fantom.
PRESS REC and PLAY on the VS2000.
Repeat steps 7,8 for the others tracks.
