How relevant is the MV8000 tutorial dvd to the 8800?

Am finding this 8800 manual pretty much useless... is the tutorial dvd for 8000 good for the 8800 too??

Not sure about which one you mean exactly, but the one from ProAudioDVDs seems to be for both models:

When you get down to it there are only a few differences between the 2 models.
Just make sure you have the latest OS and there should be little to no translation between the 2.

Most of the useful tutorial stuff can be found on Youtube. Look for stuff featuring Mike Acosta or Hannah (sp?).

You can find os updates as well as other free downloads at rolandus.com
I believe they even have some tutorials.
