Mv8800 Windows 7 usb problems

Post by thebonedss@aol.com »

Yo people, just upgraded to windows 7 pro.. Now I can't disconnect from PC without pulling out USB cable. Error message tells me to disconnect from PC via safe hardware removal, that's what I'm doing, I remove hardware via usb removal icon, but mv8800 dosn't see it .. Help Me!

There's the same problem with Windows Vista
Only you can do is remove the hardware on the computer then pull out the usb connecton from the computer and then push disconnect on the MV
That works, but if you want to use the USB connection again you have to reboot the computer or the MV, because the computer won't see the MV's harddrive as an proper USB tool after you've done that
I hope this was helpful despite my bad English
Peace,
Marcel

actually, on VISTA you can go into my computer, then right click on your MV-8800 hard drive and then select eject.. then it will disconnect the mv-8800 but you have to click disconnect on the MV as well otherwise it will reconnect
