I KNOW THAT IT HAS BEEN DONE WITH THE MV-8000, BUT I DO NOT KNOW IF IT HAS BEEN DONE WIOTH THE MV-8800.
I AM LOOKING TO UPGRADE MY UNIT PAST THE RECOMMENDED REQUIREMENTS DESCRIBED BY ROLAND.
IF I CAN GET 1G OF RAM IN THERE AND BRING THE HARD DRIVE TO A MINIMUM OF 250GB I WOULD BE HAPPY.
ANY SUGGESTIONS OR COMMENTS?
HAS ANYONE UPGRADED THE MV-8800 PAST RECOMMENDATIONS?
Re: HAS ANYONE UPGRADED THE MV-8800 PAST RECOMMENDATIONS?
The info here is the same for both 8800 and 8000.
I've upgraded my ancient stock azz 40GB HD to a 7200RPM 120GB laptop IDE HD. The max GB the MV will take is 137GB even if you put a bigger GB HD it will still only read 137 GB. The 8800 uses a laptop IDE HD so you won't need any extra adapters to swap it out for a bigger GB HD. Though people on MVNation have been kicking around the idea of trying a SATA HD but no one has coming forward saying they have done it and made it worked.

The RAM can but upgraded in both to 1GB but people have found problems when using over the 512MB limit. I just stuck with the 512.
