Editing Note Lengths on MV8800

Post by toddADSR »

Hi,

Is the only way to edit note lengths on the 8800 by percentage? Can you not use the mouse to drag the note end to the proper length (seems to me you can only move a note this way), or by typing in exactly how many bars and beats you want it to be? I'm hoping there's a better way, but I'm not seeing it.

Thanks!

sad but true. I was gutted to find this out for myself. I suspect they have not implemented this feature because there is no way (that I can see) to be able to do it without the vga expansion (mouse and lcd).

Its just a theory but I'm sticking with it.

what do you mean by percentage ? 100% = full note or full bar? you can't strech the note with your mouse - but there is away to do it just as easy. In piano roll mode hold shift and press record - set note length and hit the pad for the note you want. done! it is super fast. i dont like to mess with the mouse at all i and i love that i can make everthing with buttons and faders on the mv 8800.
