effects v cubase built in effects
effects v cubase built in effects
Hi are the effects and eq on the mv 8800 better than the built in effects and eq in cubase studio 4 ?.
Re: effects v cubase built in effects
Let me start by saying that I've never used Cubase but I am experienced with several other DAW's.
I'm not sure "better" is a way I would try to compare 2 different platforms. It all depends on how well you know the tools you are using.
With that being said. The EQ's on the MV are lacking a bit. They are only semi parametric and frequency selection is somewhat limited. As far as the effects section goes, it has some real goodies. The delays are very nice. I love the Tape echo. There's a bunch of stuff to experiment with. You can even use the MV just like an outboard effects processor. The MFX section on the MV is quite nice. On the down side the reverbs aren't that nice but still good enough to get the job done.
Again it's all about how you use the tools that are available to you.
