Just wondering if anyone can help me here?
I've recently bougtht an MV880 & have found a couple of issues that need to be addressed : there are a number of projects already on the machine which are 'protected'....and these have a picture of a small padlock after the name of the project in the project folder which shows they are 'locked' or 'protected' !
After following the instructions on page M-237 of the owners manual all I got was an error message which says : Song is protected. !!!
I cannot find a way to unlock & delete the song.
I was also doing some ordinary audio recording with an acoustic guitar but found that the recording 'stopped' with an error message after about 230 measures which says : Wav memory full ?.......what would cause this 7 what would be the way to fix this issue.
I thought maybe it's because there are quite a few projects taking up valuable space on the hard drive ?
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Sincerely,
jD.
Deleting MV880 Projects ????
Re: Deleting MV880 Projects ????
Wav memory. You know RAM. You need to expand the ram to 512.
The project that is locked is probably a default project. You just need to turn the project protect off.

Re: Deleting MV880 Projects ????
Many thanks for your reply....i'll look into the 'expansion' thing via the roland store over here .....about turning off the the 'protect project key' i already hunted all over the board & manual but nothing jumped out at me those times but i'll try again.
Thanks again,

Re: Deleting MV880 Projects ????
Have a look at the owners manual page M-236 ‘Protecting a Project’
But basically ….
Press PROJECT
Select SET PROJ PROTECTION icon
Then select the relevant project from the list
Press F5 (Protection Off)
